SPLINE X RIVE WORKFLOW

ree

The difference between Rive and spline lies primarily in their approaches to animation and interactivity:

ree

Rive: Rive provides a platform for creating animations and interactive experiences. It offers tools for designing vector graphics, animating them directly, and then establishing interactivity through a state machine. Rive allows for direct animation of objects similar to software like After Effects, followed by the setup of interactions through a state machine. The workflow in Rive is similar but with a different logic. What you need to do is create an object/model, then directly animate the object (similar to After Effects). After that, you must proceed to the state machine to create the relations between objects and interactivity."

Spline: Spline, on the other hand, is also a tool for animation and interactive design. Its workflow emphasizes simplicity, typically involving the creation of models or objects, defining states for animation, and then turning those states into actions, whether they be animations or interactive behaviors. As you can see in the diagram, the workflow in spline is much simpler. What you need to do is create a model/object, then create the state (to animate, but not yet ready to move), and finally, you must turn it into action (either animation or interactivity).

Rive and Spline serve similar purposes in animation and interactivity, their workflows and toolsets may vary, with Rive offering a more direct animation approach followed by state machine interaction setup, while spline focuses on a straightforward model-state-action progression. ===================================================
